We spent our time with the Ardent Fell variant, and it is a dial that refuses to stay static. The sunburst brown shifts beautifully depending on the light. In softer conditions it settles into a deep chestnut tone; step into brighter sunlight and it warms into a rich caramel glow.
It is a colour that feels grounded and versatile, equally at home in outdoor settings and more formal surroundings. Legibility remains clear and immediate, reinforcing the Nimrod’s practical ambitions while never sacrificing visual charm.
Movement
At the heart of the Nimrod beats the Miyota 9039, a high-performance automatic movement known for its reliability and smooth operation. The seconds hand sweeps with a calm, rhythmic motion, adding a subtle sense of life to the watch without drawing attention away from the dial.

Another small enhancement might be a slightly thinner bezel or more refined case edges, which could give the watch an even sleeker profile while keeping its robust, go-anywhere character intact.
These are minor touches, but they would enhance the overall wearing experience while preserving the versatility, precision, and thoughtful design that make the Nimrod so compelling.
