Happy Horologists is a young company dedicated to sharing the joy of watch collecting and horology. We create high quality exclusive content focusing on the happy and joyful aspects of watch collecting. We are also building a positive and inclusive community of watch enthusiasts and collectors around the world.

Nic dedicated 15 years to studying all aspects of horology. He has deep historical and model knowledge of a range of leading brands such as Breguet, JLC, Patek and AP.
Nic's horological story
Watches are more than just timekeepers - they're stories, craftsmanship, and legacy on the wrist.
Through content creation and Happy Horologists, Nic shares his passion for horology, connecting enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
For the past 15 years, watches have been more than just a passion - they’ve been an obsession.
What first captivated him was their visual beauty, but over time, his appreciation deepened as he explored the craftsmanship behind watchmaking.
From dial creation to intricate complications and movement finishing, he immersed himself in understanding what makes each timepiece special.
Beyond movements, Nic has spent years studying brands, their histories, and their evolving significance in today’s world.
In an era where technology quickly becomes obsolete, he's drawn to the idea that a well cared for watch can transcend time, becoming a legacy piece passed down through generations.
Nic's mission is to share his passion through engaging content and meaningful conversations about horology.
As the Co-founder of Happy Horologists, he collaborates with Jason to connect with the watch community, welcoming both seasoned collectors and newcomers alike.
The goal is to build a platform where both Nic and Jason can share knowledge, exchange insights, and continue learning together.
Jason Grant, MSc
Presenter and Photographer
Jason became fascinated by watches since early age when he started studying the design of his grandfather’s pocket watch. He has a deep interest in watch design, photography and ergonomics.
Jason's horological story
As a software product designer and computer scientist, Jason has always been fascinated by all things mechanical, precise and beautiful.
He's always had fascination with fashion and psychology too, especially the way people express themselves through style and accessories.
During the pandemic, Jason rediscovered his love for watches and horology, delving into the history, design and mechanics of timepieces as well as discovering microbrands for the first time.
Once he realised he's got the bug for watch collecting again, Jason decided to commit himself to the world of discovering watches and horology deeper.
Attending meetups and events, organising a watch WhatsApp group to interact with other watch collectors as well as desiging some watch specific web based experiences.
When meeting Nic at a watch event, Jason decided to dedicate himself even more to this passion and delved further into watch photography and storytelling from events, conversations and watch reviews.
Jason is on a continuous journey of diving deeper and deeper into the world of horology and how to best tell the story of these mechanical marvels.
